Foundation laid for TERI Varsity

Telangana Energy Minister C. Lakshma Reddy today laid a foundation stone for “The Energy and Resources Institute University” at Gopanpally here.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister said the university will come up on world standards in the sprawling 40-acre campus. He said persistent efforts will be made to make the Telangana State energy surplus in three years. He said Telangana State will become power abundant in two years and will surpass its own target of producing adequate energy through resources.
The State Government has initiated steps in a planned manner to complete the project, the minister said. Later, IT and Panchayat Raj Minister KT Rama Rao said the institute will prove handy to power production. Presence of ISB and IIT in Hyderabad will play a key role in rolling out human resources from the State, he added. (NSS)
