Hyderabad: Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is all set to open its Campus at Cuttack. The foundation stone was laid by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha, Shri Naveen Patnaik on 5th December 2018 at Cuttack.
Shri. Naveen Patnaik after laying foundation stone gave an inspiring speech and congratulated the Vice-Chancellor of MANUU for the establishment of a technical institute for the people of the state which would be of great importance to the Minority people. The Minority people of the state are close to his heart, he said. He also announced 5 acres of additional land to MANUU on the request Vice-Chancellor to allot more land to MANUU at Cuttack.
Dr Mohammed Aslam Parvaiz Vice-Chancellor in his speech said that MANUU Campus, Cuttack will definitely cater to the educational needs of Urdu people of Cuttack and profusely thanked the Chief Minister for donating 5 Acres of Land to MANUU. He also requested Chief Minister to donate some more land to MANUU for its expansion.
This Project has been approved by HRD, New Delhi and UGC has sanctioned funds for Building, Campus and Faculty. The construction work of Polytechnic and ITI buildings has been assigned to CPWD.
Shri. Shashi Bhusan Behera, Finance Minister of Odisha and Sj. Bhartruhari Mahatab, MP Cuttack and Debasish Samataray, MLA also spoke on the occasion and gave positive messages.
Earlier, Prof. Rahmatullah. Dean off Campus welcomed the Guests and audience. Dr B.K. Mohapatra, Campus I/c proposed vote of thanks while Prof. M. Q. Khan presided over the function.
Sri. Pratap Jena, Minister of Health was also present on the occasion.
The meeting was a great success and gave a positive message to the people of Odisha for the development of technical education that MANUU has come forward to provide to the state.
