Hailing the measures taken by Telangana State government in connection with protection of heritage structures, Mr. M Veda Kumar president Forum for Better Hyderabad said that domination of Andhrite leaders had remained a threat for the existence of precious historical monuments of Telangana during the past 60 years but soon after the formation of separate Telangana State, the ruling party by its historic decisions has allayed the apprehension prevailed regarding the protection of historical monuments.
Leaders of Forum for Better Hyderabad told that the Forum never opposed Golf Course but objected toying with the ancient precious historical monuments of Telangana in the name of construction of Golf Course and tried to save the valuable heritage. The said leaders maintained that the lake abutting Naya Qila also assumes historical importance but it too is being leveled by the soil which is quite against court orders.
Forum demanded protection of Naya Qila Lake besides providing alternate land to farmers for cultivation.
