Fortunate to be part of Indian Army: Dhoni

Team India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni today said he is fortunate to live his dreams of becoming a member of the armed force. Inaugurating a newly-constructed army ground in Leh, Dhoni, who is the goodwill ambassador of the Indian army, said he was interested in joining Army before coming to cricket but instead joined Indian railway. ‘I am fortunate that now I am able to be a part of Indian Army. I am boosted to see the way the Jawans serve the nation in tough situations,’ Dhoni said. The keeper-batsman was also the chief guest of a friendly cricket match played between the Indian Army team and a team of ladakhi locals and inaugurated the army ground, which became the highest cricket ground in the world. During the tour, Dhoni also visited the Siachen glacier – the highest battleground in the world. UNI
