Opposing any bifurcation of the state, former Andhra Pradesh Minister G Venkat Reddy today expressed the fear that development would take a back seat if separate Telangana state was formed. Talking to newspersons in the Assembly premises here, the former Minister claimed that the state would split into three parts if the Centre gives the nod for the formation of separate Telangana state.
The people of Rayalasema would be demanding statehood for their region if Telangana state is formed, he claimed.
He said the both the people of Andhra and Rayalaseema regions were against the bifurcation of the state. They and believe that the development of the state is possible only if Andhra Pradesh remains united. UNI
