Former minister Krishna Yadav rejoins TDP

After almost a decade, former minister C Krishna Yadav on Wednesday re-joined the Telugu Desam Party.

Krishna Yadav along with hundreds of supporters took out a rally from Bowenpally Alipur village of Narayankhed in Medak district where party president N Chandrababu Naidu was undertaking “Vastunna Mee Kosam” padayatra. He was welcomed back into the party by Naidu and other leaders who were present on the occasion.

It may be mentioned that Krishna Yadav was suspended from the TDP in 2003 after he was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation in the multi-crore fake stamp papers scam. The main accused, Abdul Karim Telgi, had alleged that Krishna Yadav was part of his racket that he operated in Andhra Pradesh. However, the former minister came out clean from the case.

Krishna Yadav began his political career in 1985 and was elected as a MCH Corporator in 1986 on TDP’s ticket. He was elected as MLA from Himayathnagar constituency in 1994 and was later elevated as Government Whip and was also inducted in the State Cabinet as Labour Minister. (INN)
