New Delhi: Former India’s interlocutor to Kashmir MM Ansari said normal life in Kashmir has remained crippled due to ongoing clampdown in Kashmir. It has become difficult for common people to live a normal life. Women, children and the elderly are most affected by the situation.
MM Ansari said Kashmiris are facing a lot of hardship due to blockage of communication systems like mobile and internet. They are not getting medical facilities. Schools, colleges and other educational institutions remain shut.
Mr Ansari urged the government to take steps to bring normalcy in the valley. He said pellet gun is being misused in Kashmir. He advised that the government should try to win hearts of Kashmiris. He also expressed concern over human rights violations in Kashmir.
The former interlocutor stressed the need to restore democracy by releasing political leaders. He termed the detention of political leaders as a blot on democracy.
