Hyderabad: Special Investigation Team which has been constituted to probe into the illegal activities of former Naxalite, Nayeem now intends to interrogate former DGP of AP and two Addl. SPs of Telangana. It is reported that the former DGP was in contact with Nayeem even after his retirement. It is also said that he had sought his help in resolving some land disputes. The said DGP became Nayeem’s friend when he was Dy. IG of Police. Nayeem had shot dead his IPS colleague, Mr. KS Viyas when he was walking in LB stadium. After this incident, former DGP had made Nayeem as his informer. He exploited his services for a longer time which includes the eradication of important Maoist leader. It is also alleged that he had supported him during election campaign.
The two Addl. SPs had also took advantage of their contacts with Nayeem for their personal benefits. SIT may commission these officers in connection with investigation.
