A former corporator was brutally murdered here on Monday morningl Rama Krishna Reddy the former corporator was murdered when he was walking in the National Park in the city in the morning. It is learnt that some unidentified persons attacked him with sickles. He died instantaneously.
Rama Krishna Reddy was a member of the naxalite movement. After coming into the main stream, he contested as the CPI-ML New Democracy candidate and won as corporator.
Police registered a case and are investigating. The assailants had immediately escaped from the scene. Police started a man hunt for the murderers. Police suspect land disputes to be the reason for the brutal murder. They are also investigating into other angles. (nss)
