Former Cong MLA to go on hunger strike over civic issues

New Delhi: Holding BJP-led MCD and AAP government responsible for “unliveable” conditions in unauthorised colonies in Delhi, former Congress MLA Mukesh Sharma today said he will go on an indefinite hunger strike from tomorrow over the issue.

“I had written letters to Delhi LG, CM, the commissioners and mayors of the three corporations and DJB chairman to bring this issue to their notice, and had sought their response to it in 72 hours. Since, I haven’t got any, I have decided to go on an indefinite strike,” he said.

The former MLA from Uttam Nagar said he will begin his stir from Mohan Garden area and soon would spread it other unauthorised colonies.
