Greater Noida: A 65-year-old retired official of Castrol India Limited committed suicide 15-20 days ago by hanging himself suggested autopsy reports.
The retired officer identified as Narayan Kumar Shinde (65) was a retired manager at the Castrol India Limited. He was found dead hanging from his room’s ceiling in his apartment in NSG Society at Kasna on Wednesday, January 2.
The Police also recovered a suicide note “I am hanging myself till death. I am taking this decision to end this life,” in the same room as the decomposed body of the deceased, TOI reports.
According to sources, the deceased have been living alone for the past two years in his apartments after separation from his wife.
The incident came to light after one of his acquaintances who had come to check on him after multiple calls made to Shinde were not answered.
“The autopsy report suggests the reason for death as ‘choking’ and that the senior citizen died almost 15 to 20 days ago. The family of the senior citizen has not made any complaint,” said SHO of Kasna police station.
