Former Bihar minister Sheonandan Jha dies

Patna, August 17: Veteran socialist leader and former Science and Techonolgy minister of Bihar, Sheonandan Jha, passed away today.

He was 90.

Jha breathed his last this morning at his Jhaja residence.

He had represented Jhaja assembly consitutency for five terms, the first being in 1967.

Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar condoled the death of Jha saying it was a personal loss.

In a condolence message issued from New Delhi, Kumar said Jha would be creamated with full state honours at Jhaja this evening.

Kumar had gone to Delhi to attend a meeting of chief ministers convened by Prime Minister Manomohan Singh.
