Hyderabad, January 29: Under the instructions from the National Minorities Commission, Govt. of A.P. has made all the preparations for constituting Minorities Commission but it is facing difficulties due to the age restriction of 65 years. Govt. intends to appoint a retired Supreme Court judge.
A high retired official is also in the race for this coveted position but the responsibilities of the post warrant legal expertise.
Govt. is actively considering to appoint a retired IAS officer as Chairman and the members will be chosen from Sikh and Parsi communities.
It is learnt from reliable sources that the names of the Chairman and the members of the Minority Commission have already been finalized by the Govt.
