Ranchi: Raghubar Das Jharkhand Chief Minister said that efforts were on to set up an Anti -terrorist squad to meet internal security challenges in the state.
The state cabinet also gave its approval to create 243 ATS post. The ATS will be headed by an official of the rank of superintendent of police it will have six DSP and eleven inspectors.
Jharkhand has turned into a shelter for terrorist. The two terrorist involve in the 2002 American centre attack in Kolkata were from Jharkhand. However they were killed by security forces in Hazari Bagh district.
An Investigation Training Institute would be set up in 2015-16 fiscal. The
Land would soon be made available for setting up Musabani Police Training Centre, and state’s Women’s Battalion would be further strengthened.
