Footwear designing and Development Institute in City soon

Govt. of India has sanctioned Rs. 100 crore for the establishment of National Institute of Footwear design and Development in the city. It is expected that the foundation stone for this institute will be laid in the last week of this month. Mr. Anand Sharma, Union Minister of Commerce and Industry has agreed to sanction this institute. He met Mr. N. Kiran Kumar Reddy yesterday. State Govt. has allocated land at Ghachibowli for this purpose. He advised the C.M. to explore the possibilities of instituting world trade center and three national investment and manufacturing zones to be establish in Zaheerabad (Medak), Chittor and Prakasam district. It is expected that a sum of Rs. 30 thousand crore will be invested in this industry. It will provide 3 lakh jobs.
