Hyderabad, December 11: Old Qutub Shahi mosque is located at Bata Sangaram (Choutuppal) at a distance of 40 kilometers from Hyderabad. The village has 100 Muslim houses. There are 3 inhabited mosques and one uninhabited mosque in the area. The uninhabited mosque is situated in Jent George Memorial School run under Christian management.
This mosque is 400 year old and the school has been established quite recently but the path is not being given for going to the mosque, owing to which the mosque is uninhabited.
It is the duty of waqf board to immediately come into action and using its powers handover the mosque to the local Muslims. Local Muslims are desperate to rehabilitate the mosque.
