Bada pahad Qutub Shahi mosque uninhabited
Hyderabad, September 28: Bada Pahad Qutub Shahi mosque is 400 year old mosque which is also called ‘uper ki masjid’ (upper mosque). The mosque is situated at Vinayak nagar Shaikhpet and is uninhabited. Neither land grabbers nor people of other religions have encroached upon it but this time it is the government water works department that has occupied it. It has been hidden among the bushes so that it can not be seen and roads have been blocked from the four sides. Water reservoir and chlorination plant has been set up on the waqf land of the mosque, while the gazette record is dated 01-07-1982.
As usual Waqf board has turned a blind eye towards the mosque. It seems that the waqf board authorities neither have God’s fear nor has consideration of Akhirah. That’s why they have become deaf and dumb and even handicapped on the destruction of waqf properties.
