Mosque uninhabited in the guest house of R&B dept. Shamsabad
Hyderabad, November 15: This mosque was built 4 years ago in the guest house of R&B department Shamsabad since then it is uninhabited. It was not even inaugurated. It was constructed in the guest house of Road & Building department adjacent to Shamsabad Sabzi market. Locals have to say that this mosque was constructed 4 years ago on 120 sqyd government land without any demand or appeal by the Muslims. There was a secret conspiracy behind the construction of this mosque.
The story behind this is ‘there is an old Qutub Shahi mosque on Shamsabad main road in which 5 times prayers are offered. The mosque is looked upon as an obstacle by the officials of Road & Building department in master plan or widening of road and they want to widen the road by demolishing the mosque. Hence thinking that the Muslims would be happy and would happily hand over the present Qutub Shahi mosque to the Road & Building department they constructed a new mosque.
But they are not aware that a mosque once constructed remains a mosque forever. Muslims of Shamsabad rejected the nefarious offer of R&B department. Though the government officials convened a number of meetings and stressed Muslims to withdraw claim for the old mosque in exchange for the newly constructed mosque but local Muslims having religious spirit rejected the offer. Now it is not allowed to enter into the new mosque and it is always locked.
