Masjid Alamgiri Shaikhpet, uninhabited
Hyderabad, September 27: Masjid Alamgiri, Shaikhpet is uninhabited. Government has constructed a community hall on its land. The total land of the mosque is occupied by constructing a house and some shops on it. The mosque is quite beautiful and is in good condition but is eclipsed by the house, shops and community hall. Though located at main road the mosque couldn’t be seen from the road. The path leading to the mosque has been narrowed down. Muslims are not allowed to come near the mosque.
Readers! The destruction and ruin caused to the waqf properties at Shaikhpet were no doubt impossible but with the cooperation of corrupt officials of the insensitive department. This is the reason that the locals bravely go on constructing on the waqf lands. Not even mosques are spared. Masjid Alamgiri is a living testimony of the fact, which has a record in waqf gazette.
