Qutub Shahi Eik Khana mosque Rajendar Nagar uninhabited
Hyderabad, November 3: Qutub Shahi Eik khana mosque Agricultural University is located in Rajendar Nagar. The university has a hostel which is called “Krishi Nilayam”. The said mosque is located in that hostel which is in B-Block. The hostel was built on March 20, 1996 since then the prayer in the mosque is prohibited. No reason has been given for the prohibition. This has created restlessness among university staff and students, as a mosque is badly needed because there is another mosque at a distance but prayer in that mosque is also prohibited.
Government should immediately lift the ban on offering prayers in the mosque. The Eik Khana mosque had been given a facelift in 1987 but permission was not granted for offering prayers.
