IT Minister K Taraka Rama Rao today said a Food Processing Unit will come up in Hyderabad soon.
Inaugurating a national conference of Indian Institute of Packaging at ITC Kakatiya here, the minister said the ITC will be constructing Food Processing Unit near Hyderabad. Stating that India occupies fifth position in Packaging industry, KTR said Telangana is witnessing favorable growth in investment progressively after achieving statehood. “This will help boost the packaging industry and provide more employment opportunities to the youth”, he opined. KTR said the popular Iker Company came forward to set up its business in Hyderabad. He also said that ITC will expand Bhadrachalam Paper Mill.
100 per cent Wi-Fi soon
The IT minister said Hyderabad city will soon have wi-fi connectivity. The capital of Telangana State is now witnessing wi-fi connectivity in 8 km radius and will have 100 per cent coverage soon, he assured. There is a great competition among telecom companies on setting up wi-fi facility in the city, he added. (NSS)
