Follow these five practices to increase your rizq

There is no doubt that Allah is our sole provider for all means. He knows when and what would be the best for His makhlooq. We keep on complaining about our shrinking rizq and we never think of increasing our provisions through practices our beloved Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم has suggested. Rather we try hard in this Duniya and try to attain what may not be good for us in worldly life as well as in Akhirah.

Five practices to increase rizq (provision):

1. Making continuous Istighfaar:

“Ask forgiveness from your Lord; verily, He is Oft-Forgiving; He will send rain to you in abundance; And give you increase in wealth and children, and bestow on you gardens and bestow on you rivers.”
Qur’an (71: 10-12)

2. Fearing Allah (Having Taqwa):

“And whosoever fears Allah and keeps his duty to Him, He will make a for him to get out (from every difficulty). And He will provide him from (sources) he never could imagine.”
Qur’an(65: 2-3)

3. Relying only on Allah

The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “If You were to rely on Allah as He should be relied on, He would provide for you as He provides for the birds. They go out early in the morning hungry and return in the evening full.”
Sunan At-Tirmidhi: 2344

4. Upholding the ties of kinship:

The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “Whoever would like his rizq (provision) to be increased and his life to be extended, should uphold the ties of kinship”
Al-Bukhari: 5986, Al-Muslim: 2557

The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “Maintaining good tie with kinship brings love between relatives, and increases wealth, and prolongs life.”
At-Tirmidhi and At-Tabarani

5. Giving charity:

“Whatsoever you spend of anything (in Allah’s cause), He will replace it. And He is the Best of providers.”
Qur’an(34:39)
