Hyderabad: Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu today paid rich tributes to Mahaveer on the occasion of his Jayanti at Exhibition grounds here. He attended the event as the chief guest and spoke on what Bhagvan Mahaveer taught the nation. Mahaveer was one of the top most personalities who vouched for peace, brotherhood and services to people. He called upon to follow the preachings of Mahaveer to protect natural resources and avoid misuse of the same. Wealth and development go hand in hand and people have to build a nation of peace and show path to world he said. Mahaveer life is ideal for contemporary world and nation will develop by following truth, non violence and peace.
The present generation should adopt these qualities and forward the same for future generations. India stood as global guru with abundant knowledge and we have to protect it. India now faces problems like terrorism and others people should fight against it unitedly he said. The vice president also said that the people have to protect animals and plants for better future.
