Hyderabad July 30: “E-services should be designed in such a way that they provide end-to-end services by reducing the need for manual intervention or involvement,” said J. Satyanarayana, special chief secretary to the chief minister during the inaugural of a day-long consultation workshop on ‘Citizen centric e-government’ here on Friday.
He advocated greater use of information technology and communications in health and education sectors to benefit the common man.
The workshop, focusing on implementation of National e-Governance Plan (NeGP) and initiatives taken by the state government in delivery of e-services, was organised by the department of information technology, National e-Governance Division in partnership with NASSCOM.
The integration of state-level intranet, SWAN, with National Knowledge Commission and National Disaster Recovery framework was proposed by Ajay Kumar, joint secretary of the department of information technology.
The efforts of the state in implementing e-governance was highlighted in a presentation by Sanjay Jaju, IT and communications secretary.
Nearly 170 participants representing state government and the corporate sector, including industry partners and implementing agencies, attended the workshop.
