Hyderabad: According to the Commissioner of Police Anjani Kumar, all the flyovers in the city, excluding — Greenlands, PVNR Expressway and Langar Houz, will be closed today after 10 pm in view of Shab-e-Meraj. Traffic flow, however, will not be interrupted on the three above mentioned flyovers.
As reported by Hans India, the police issued a circular in this regard appealing to the public to choose alternate routes avoiding the respective areas.
Shab e Meraj or the Night of Journey carries great significance in Islam. It was the night when the Prophet (PBUH) was carried to the Heavens and experienced several miracles along the way.
