Hyderabad: To ensure hassle-free traffic, the State government has given approval to the proposal to construct a flyover from Nalgonda crossroads till Owaisi Junction. The flyover will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 523.37 crore.
Keeping in view the heavy traffic flow at Nalgonda crossroad to Sayeedabad stretch and several bottlenecks, the GHMC has proposed to construct the elevated corridor from Nalgonda crossroads to Owaisi Junction via Saidabad and IS Sadan. Road widening at the above-mentioned stretch is impossible due to the presence of religious structures, graveyards, etc.
STUP Consultants Private Limited will conduct a study and submit a report on the estimates for the foundation, ramps, service roads, pavement works, drainage works, land acquisition, utilities shifting etc.
Nearly 220 structures will have to be acquired to construct the proposed 2.5 km long four-lane flyover.
