Flights to London cancelled due to bad weather

New Delhi/Mumbai, December 20: All flights to London from the country were cancelled today as the Heathrow airport remained closed due to bad weather.

All six flights from Delhi to London’s Heathrow airport were cancelled due to bad weather, an airport official said.

Two flights of British Airways, one each of Air India, Jet Airways, Virgin Atlantic and Kingfisher were cancelled causing inconvenience to the passengers.

Airline officials are awaiting clearance from Heathrow airport authorities.

The national carrier has cancelled its Delhi-London-Delhi flight AI 111/AI 112 and Mumbai-London-Mumbai flight AI 130/ AI 131.

“In view of prevailing bad weather conditions, flights have been held back at the originating stations. The flights would operated subject to necessary clearance from London Airport authorities,” an Air India spokesperson said.

The airlines have asked the passengers to be in touch with their call centres or the travel agents.
