Mumbai, July 04: This is not a rundown runway, but a water park in the outskirts of the city.
In 2005, Air Sahara’s B737 aircraft skidded off the main runway at Mumbai airport and got stuck in a soft grassy patch, playing havoc with flight schedules.
The craft was eventually steered away, and beeped out of the collective radar, till we spotted it at the unlikeliest of places.
At a forlon corner of the Nishiland amusement park, the out -of-action B737 is now a curiosity value, waiting to kiss the skies again someday.
