A flexi banner on which the images of Mahatma Gandhi and Y S Jaganmohan Reddy were printed side by side created a controversy as freedom fighters, lawyers, social activists and Congress Party leaders vehemently objected and lodged their protest with officials concerned. The photographs of YSR Congress Party President Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and Mahatma Gandhi were printed on the flexi banner, side by side, showing them behind bars.
The caption was also controversial. Depicting Mr Y S Jaganmohan Reddy with Mahatma Gandhi on Independence Day made patriots angry.
Later, a municipal corporation staff removed the banner. Mr Jaganmohan Reddy has been in prison for the last four months in disproportionate assets case. UNI
