Hyderabad: In wake of incessant reports of flash protests against CAA and NRC, Police in Hyderabad was put on alert across city on Wednesday night.
Policemen were deployed in the various parts of city following information of a flash protest against CAA and NRC at important junctions of Hyderabad.
The cops went tizzy after a message was flashed on twitter asking public to join the flash protest at Aramgargh Cross Roads, Bahadurpura X Roads , Masab Tank, Necklace Road, Tank Bund, Moosarambagh, Kachiguda crossroads and Tolichowki.
Apart from deployment of police, platoons of Rapid Action Force (RAF), Quick Reaction Team QRT), Commissioner’s Task Force, City Armed Reserve platoons were also pressed into service.
Although there was no protest reported in twin cities but the police maintained tight vigil till late hours.
