Kottayam, February 21: five persons were killed and 20 others injured in two separate road accidents in Kottayam district today. Four persons were killed and 20 others injured, two of them seriously, when a mini bus carrying a music group from Alappuzha, overturned on the Erattupetta -Vagamon route today. The deceased were identified as Satheesh (16), Binu (20), Manikuttan (40) and Sruthiraj (13) all from Alappuzha. Nineteen of the injured were admitted to the medical college hospital. In another accident near Kuravilangadu, a youth, Nishad (22) of Ettumanoor, was killed when a car dashed against a tree, police said.
