Five persons commit suicide in different Incidents

Domestic disputes drove a 25-year-old man to suicide in Langar Houz police limits.

The deceased, Deepak Singh, took the extreme steps at his residence in Prashant Nagar on Sunday night by hanging to the ceiling, police said.

In another case, 16-year-old P Pragna Sai succumbed to the burn injuries which she had sustained after setting herself ablaze. According to Narsingi police, she took the extreme step at her residence in Gandhamguda on Sunday evening. She was immediately rushed to the Osmania General Hospital where she died a few hours of admission. She was reportedly mentally unsound.

In a different case, Ramanjaneyulu, 34, died of burn injuries which he suffered after setting himself ablaze. He resorted to the exterme step on April 21 and died at the OGH on Sunday night. According to Asif Nagar Sub-Inspector B Venkat Reddy, Ramanjaneyulu, an auto-driver was suffering from kidney ailment and used to undergo dialysis thrice a week at the OGH. Ill-health is suspected to have driven him to suicide.

In a separate case, 28-year-old Venkateshwaramma, a housewife, committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling at her residence in Film Nagar on Sunday night. Family problems are suspected to be behind her suicide.

In the last case, Farhan Baig, 27, an auto-driver, committed suicide by jumping into the well of Dargah Jameel Shah near his residence in Jiyaguda on Sunday evening. According to Kulsumpura police, the reasons that led him to suicide are yet to be ascertained. He had reportedly attempted suicide twice in the past. (INN)
