On Tuesday Panjagutta Police arrested a Notorious Pocket Picking Gang five members of Telaga Pamula i.e. 1) Kawadi Kumari (35) a Kirana Business W/o K Sreenu Resident of Bhupesh Gupta Nagar of Karmanghat 2) Kawadi Radha (33) a Tailor W/o Nagaraju 3) Kawadi Karthik (20) a Auto Driver 4) Amuru Lakshmi (50) a Bangles Business 5) Amuru Chiranjeevi (50) a Auto Driver & 6) Kawadi Srinu (Absconding) a Auto Driver all are Residents of Bhupesh Gupta Nagar of Karmanghat and recovered Net cash Rs. 10,000, Two Cell Phones, (8) unclaimed Cell Phones and (8) purses / valets all worth Rs. 1,00,000, from their possession and detected (5) cases of Panjagutta Police Station and the arrested accused are being remanded to judicial custody.
The accused A-1 to A-6 are the active gang members of “Telaga Pamula” and they committed number of Pocket Picking cases in the limits of Twin Cities by moving in RTC Buses / crowd places by carrying their kids / children and by diverting the attention of passengers and committing pick pocketing cases.
The accused commits offences of pocket picking either from male or female at the heavy crowd places and in the RTC Buses by travelling as bonafide passengers along with their kids/children and observed in the buses about the carrying of handbags containing gold ornaments, purses/ valets, cell phones and other luggage’s. The gang members including ladies pushing the passengers to aside and they will act as pregnant woman and by piercing (Gichutta) to their children and diverted minds of passengers by doing acts and crying of children, meanwhile the other ladies/gents of same gang members committed theft of above articles and they will get down from the buses by very next stage and escape with booty.
The accused A1 Kawadi Kumari is the elder daughter & A5 Amuru Chiranjeevi is the younger son & A2 Kawadi Radha is the younger daughter of A4 Amuru Lakshmi, whereas the accused A6 Kawadi Sreenu is the husband of A1 and the A3 Kawadi Karthik is the adopted son of A1 and A6.
Actually the above accused persons are born at Pulivendula Village of Kadapa District and migrated to Hyderabad City and laid huts in Bhupesh Guptha Nagar & Nandanavanam colony of Karmanghat village of Saroornagar Mandal and Manghar Basthi of Habeebnagar PS limits.The above offenders by earning huge money by committing the pocket pickings, snatchings and house burglaries by the male Offenders. The A1 Kawadi Kumari and A2 Kawadi Radha have constructed three and two storied buildings in Bhupesh Guptha Nagar & Nandanavanam colony of Karmanghat village of Saroornagar Mandal with earning money and giving the rooms to others on rent. Their mainly livelihood is doing the pocket pickings. If they will caught by Police immediately their stocked advocates/henchmen will approach High Court and file the Hobbies corpus petitions to build up pressure on the police and get away from the jail by furnishing cash sureties. The A6 Kawadi Srinu is the main gang leader and monitoring all the pocket picking offences by giving time to time plan to his wife A1 Kawadi Kumari on cell phone and implementing his crime plan.
