Vapi (Gujarat), January 11: Five passengers were killed and three sustained severe injuries when a goods train ran over them while they were boarding a train from wrong side of the platform here today, an official said.
The victims were boarding Patna Express today evening from the wrong side of the platform at Vapi station when a goods train hit them, a Western Railway official told PTI.
Railway authorities have sent an accident relief van at the site, he said.
