Five killed in Telangana road accident

Hyderabad: Five persons were killed and three others injured when an auto-rickshaw in which they were travelling collided head-on with a bus in Telangana’s Yadadri district on Monday.

Police said the accident occurred Monday night near Bahupet in Yadgirigutta mandal (block), about 65 km from here.

A bus belonging to Telangana State Road Transport Corporation, on its way from Hyderabad to Warangal, hit an autorickshaw coming from the opposite direction, killing five persons on the spot. The injured were admitted to a hospital in Aler.

Transport Minister Mahender Reddy spoke to police officials about the accident. He ordered an inquiry and said action would be taken against the bus driver, if he was found driving the vehicle in a rash manner.
