Five persons, including three children of a family, and the auto driver were killed on the spot when an RTC bus collided head-on with their three-wheeler near Vittapur village under Navipet mandal of Nizamabad district on Wednesday. Four other passengers were also grievously injured.
The ill-fated family of Adarsh Nagar in Nizamabad was returning home after completing ‘Aksharabhyasam’ ceremony for the children at Basara Saraswathi Devi temple. The auto driver died on the spot while three children declared brought dead to the government hospital.
The deceased were identified as Ganesh, 27, Satish, 25, Rajitha, 19. One of the injured, a housewife Gothri is stated to be pregnant and her condition is stated to be critical, DSP Ananta Kumar said. (NSS)
