Five people, including three children, have been killed in fire bombing on a bus escorted by police in Bangladesh.

At least 29 others were burnt in the petrol bomb attack on the Napu Paribahan bus in Gaibandha district around 11.30 p.m. Friday, bdnews24.com quoted Sadar police station officer Rajiur Rahman as saying.

“All of the burnt were passengers of the bus. Of them, 11 have been sent to the Rangpur Medical College and Hospital and the others to Gaibandha Sadar Hospital,” the police officer said.

“Some of them were in a pretty bad condition,” he added.
