Five killed, 20 injured in road accidents

At least five persons, including three women were killed and 20 others injured in three different road accidents in Andhra Pradesh today. Police here said two women were killed and seven others injured when a trolley-cum-auto in which they were travelling hit a motor bike near Rajiv Gruhakalpa colony at Tandur mandal in Ranga Reddy district. The mishap occurred when the auto carrying nearly 16 people was returning from Janagam after attending a funeral. The injured were admitted at Tandur government hospital. They hailed from Kulchurguda village in Karnataka state, police said. Two persons were killed on the spot and three others seriosuly injured when a tractor in which they were travelling, overturned near Karkambadi at Renigunta mandal in Chitoor district. The injured were shifted to Government Ruia hospital in Tirupati, police said. In another accident in Khammam district, a woman was killed and ten others injured when a trolley-cum-auto in which they were at Vepakuntla village under Khammam Urban mandal travelling overturned limits.
