Hajipur, July 18: Altogether five people were killed and 10 injured when a jeep carrying them collided head on with a speeding truck near Daulatpur village under town police station area in Vaishali district today.
Police said the ill-fated jeep was on way to Hajipur from Muzaffarpur when it was hit by the truck coming from opposite direction.
”Five people died on the spot while 10 others sustained serious injuries in the accident,” police said. Seven injured people had been admitted to a local hospital while three others with serious injuries were rushed to Patna Medical College and Hospital for better treatment, police added.
