Roorkee (Uttarakhand), February 19:Five persons were arrested today for allegedly killing a 25-year-old youth in Mangalore area of Haridwar district here, a senior police official said.
Amit, an employee of Uttam Sugar Mills, was killed on Tuesday night by Sunder Nath, Manoj, Bharat Kishore and Chhote Lal, Haridwar (SSP) Sanjay Gunjyal said.
Kishore and Lal were related to the victim, while the sixth accused is presently absconding, he said.
The victim was killed as his family was opposed to his relationship with a girl, the officer added.
