Five of a family, including two children, who were on their way to relative’s house met with a tragic end after the autorickshaw, in which they were travelling, was hit by a water tanker at JMJ school of Achampet Mandal of Mahbubnagar district in the wee hours of Thursday.
According to reports, a speeding water tanker which was coming from behind rammed into the auto, killing all the five family members on the spot.
Victims were identified as Sreenu (40), his wife Venkatamma (30), mother Susheela (50), and two daughters. They belonged to Amitapur village of Bhoothpur madal. The police rushed to the spot.
It is said that the water tanker driver fled from the spot, police said adding manhunt has been launched to nab him.
