Five die in road accidents

Hyderabad, June 16: Five persons died and two suffered injuries in three separate road accidents in city on Monday.

Ch Ravinder, 36, a private employee of Domalguda and Shaik Saleem, 26, a sales executive with Kotak Mahindra from Chirag Ali Lane in Abids died on the spot when the two-wheeler they were riding hit a road divider at Chinnatokata in Tadbun on Monday morning. Saleem’s brother, Ankush, who was also pillion-riding, suffered minor injuries in the incident, Bowenpally SI A Satyanarayana said.

In another incident, a lab technician of Shadan college died when an engineering college bus hit his two-wheeler at Langer Houz on Monday.

Kafeel alias Sameer, 25, of Mehdipatnam died on the spot when the bus belonging to Geetanjali Institute of Engineering and Technology hit the scooter he was riding at Tipu Khan Bridge. With critical injuries he died on the spot, Langer Houz inspector of police G Sridhar said.

In another accident, two realtors, M Raja Reddy, 27, B Venkataiah, 27, of Akkannapally in Medak district died on the spot, when the Maruti car they were travelling in was hit by a DCM van near Turkapally in Shamirpet police limits on Monday

The two realtors were coming to the city on some business related work. Their car driver, Basheer Ahmed, escaped with minor injuries.

Police registered a case under section 304-A and 337 of the IPC against the DCM van driver who is absconding.
