New Delhi : Giving fitness accessibility with more than 100,000 daily workout options to choose from, Fitpass has launched its flagship gym in Delhi. Available on web, iOS and Android, Fitpass is making fitness accessible to the Indian consumer besides removing the traditional monotony associated with working out.
Priced at only Rs. 999 per month, it is not only more cost-effective than an average gym membership. Fitpass will offer workouts such as Pilates, Zumba, yoga, spinning to boot camp, kickboxing and aerobics.
“Fitness consciousness is rapidly increasing. Gyms are a more searched word on Google than Bollywood. India wants to get fit but there is a lot of friction that prevents us from it – price, convenience, fixed schedules, long term contracts and lack of standardization of services. Fitpass is using technology to remove the prevailing market inefficiencies and make fitness super accessible to the Indian consumer,” said Akshay Verma.
“Most importantly, we are helping gyms and fitness studios to increase their utilization rates. It is important to understand the dynamics of the fitness services industry that is highly unorganized. As India is getting richer, it’s getting unhealthier. Unlike the west, we don’t have many outdoor/alternative options to gyms where one can do cycling tracks, sports facilities and other activities,” added Verma.
Fitpass has six proprietary products aptly named after the most common fitness goals like Six Pack Abs, Sexy Calves, Dolay Sholay, 36-24-36, Pecs of Steel and Bikini Bod. With each of these products, customers get a diet plan and workout guide to further help them achieve their fitness goals.
Fitpass is currently based out of and operational in Delhi-NCR. Bolstered by a team with the strongest pedigree of Oxford, Columbia, IIT, St. Stephen’s and Delhi University, with its teeth cut in UBS Investment Bank, McKinsey, the World Bank, Zomato, Grofers, Fitpass is bringing in the age of ‘fit-tech’ in India.
