Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao stunned an august gathering of senior doctors, many among them being specialists, and medical practitioners by revealing that he had not visited a doctor for any ailment for 52 years.
The Chief Minister made this revelation while inaugurating the Star Hospital’s Institute of Neuro Sciences and Centre for Joint Replacement this morning. During the course of his address, he revealed how health conscious and fitness freak he is. According to him, he had no occasion to visit a doctor for even a minor ailment for 52 years. “Not even for checking blood pressure”, he said evoking applause from the doctors.
KCR said he led a tension-free life and hence there was no question of BP. However, during the agitation for the cause of separate Telangana, especially during his fasting, he was constantly examined for BP because those were tension-filled days. Many had questioned him whether he was a diabetic but he had no idea what it is, he said amidst laughter
