Fish medicine distribution going on smoothly: Nayini

Home Minister Nayini Narsihma Reddy today said better arrangements were made for the two-day distribution of “Fish Prasadam” among the people at the Exhibition Grounds here.

The Home Minister visited the venue and expressed satisfaction at the arrangements made for the mega event. He also interacted with Bathini Harinath Goud, whose family has been distributing fish “prasadam” free of cost for the people since the last 172 years in the city. He said adequate number of security personnel was deployed to ensure smooth conduct of the fish prasadam program for two days on June 8 and 9. The distribution was going on smoothly and peacefully as the officials of various departments are coordinating with each other, he said.

The Home Minister said several lakh of people thronged from various States like Karnataka, Maharashstra, Delhi, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, West Bengal and others. He has appreciated the Bathini family for rendering noble service to the poor, who are coming from remote places for fish prasadam. The State government has extended all support for the smooth and peaceful conduct of the program, he said. All possible measures were being taken to avoid inconvenience to the people coming for the fish prasadam, he said.

Fisheries & Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav also visited the Exhibition grounds and reviewed the situation. He said the Fisheries department made two lakh fishlings for distribution by the Bathini family. The fish prasadam distribution will continued on Friday also (NSS).
