Hyderabad: District Collector P. Venkataram Reddy and Commissioner V. Siva Kumar inaugurated the first ration shop with cashless transactions on Monday at Siddipet. Apart from providing mini-ATM services, e-Wallet and Aadhaar-based links services were also extended.
Mr. Venkataram Reddy said that about 1,000 swiping machines would be extended in the next one week and every one would be handed over Rupay cards for transactions.
Awareness is being created to promote cashless transactions. Mr. Venkataram Reddy, Siva Kumar and RDO Muthyam Reddy visited various wards and explained about importance of cashless transactions, the benefits of the use of cards and online purchases.
