New Delhi: All India Congress spokesman and former member of Hajj Committee of India, M Afzal criticised the government for not providing the Hajj pilgrims the facilities given to international passengers by the airport authority. It has been decided to send Hajj pilgrims from temporary camp instead of sending them through Hajj terminal as per tradition. He told that the discriminatory attitude towards Hajj pilgrims in the name of security reflects a separate ideology towards a particular community.
M Afzal said when the facility is not given, the tax should be returned which is collected in the name of providing facilities.
M Afzal told media persons that all the previous union government provided facilities to the Hajj pilgrims, but this is the first government which believes in taking away instead of giving the facilities.
