Srinagar, November 18: Fire broke out at a police station on the airport road here after a gas cylinder leaked inside one of its rooms, officials said.
The blaze that originated in the wireless room damaged the upper storey of Sadder Police Station at Baghat Chowk, they said.
Fire tenders were put to service and were particularly instructed to remove arms and ammunition besides police records to safety, they said.
