A massive fire at former Congress MP Siricilla Rajaiah’s residence left his daughter-in-law and three grandchildren dead, reports said on Wednesday.
The charred bodies of the woman and her three sons were found at Rajaiah’s house in Warangal district in Telangana, ANI said.
The police have launched a probe into the matter. Reports said the fire broke out because of a leak in a gas cylinder.
Rajaiah was expected to submit his nomination papers for the Warangal Lok Sabha bye-election on Wednesday on a Congress ticket.
An NDTV report said Rajaiah’s daughter-in-law Sarika had earlier filed a case of harassment.
Sarika, who was married to Rajaiah’s son Anil, had even staged a protest demonstration outside his house with her three children.
