Fins Urges Govt To Check Influx Of Foreigners

Forum for Integrated National Security (FINS) has demanded that the government take immediate steps to check unabated infiltration of foreign nationals. The FINS wants immediate halt to infiltration of foreign nations and step up efforts for national unity and territorial integrity through awareness among the Border Security Force personnel, civil administration and people living on the borders of the country.

Speaking to media here, Major General A B Gorthi (retired) has demanded that the government take steps to impart proper training to the BSF personnel and the people involved in Law and Order to protect the country from divisive forces. He explained that foreigners were sneaking into the country from across the borders and indulging in illegal activities like smuggling.

In this context, Gorthi clarified that the transactions of arms and explosives before 26/11, 2008 was not discovered because it was considered as an ordinary transactions on the borders managed by anti-nationals.
He said that the FINS had taken an initiative for national awakening program, in which some 8,690 people from 15 border States including Gujarat, West Bengal, Assam, Rajasthan participated. (NSS)
